At Wissen - our crash course gives you everything you need. Covering all 6 thematic topics and having 4 dedicated lessons to Paper 1 and 2 skills, we provide our students with an overview of all the pertinent (and likely) issues and areas of discussion under the relevant themes, coupled with the skills and techniques required to gain mastery in both papers.

On top of these lessons, we offer cutting-edge additional “learning skills” lessons, available to students opting for the content lessons only plan and the full suite lessons plan. In these optional lessons, we run through study techniques and knowledge retention methods to optimize student learning and revision, and teach students to use educational tools and AI learning tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Deepseek etc.) effectively and optimally for General Paper, familiarizing students with important skills such as effective prompt generation and output validation. These lessons demonstrate the ways in which AI can be used critically and yet effectively to become an integral part of the GP learning experience.

Our crash course classes run throughout June, with an option for students to join either online (capped at 10-15 per class) or in-person (capped at 6 per class).

Our General Paper crash course features a full suite of 12 lessons (including 2 optional skills lessons), consisting of:

  • 6 Thematic Content Lesson

  • 4 Essay and Comprehension Skills Lesson

  • 2 Optional Learning Skills Lessons

  • In each of the 6 thematic lessons, we will be providing students with comprehensive, topical overviews of the relevant issues/areas of concern as well as analysis and insight into past Paper 1 trends pertaining to each theme. Students can expect to receive in-depth notes and summaries unpacking each theme.

  • Our essay and skills lessons cover the essentials to scoring well for Paper 1 and 2. For Paper 1, key techniques such as question analysis, paragraph structuring and evaluation will be expanded on in greater detail. For Paper 2 lessons, students can expect guidance on how to answer short answer questions, summary techniques as well as methods to write the ideal application question response.

  • Given the increasing adoption of AI tools, our pioneering additional skills lessons aims to equip students with the necessary skills to integrate AI into part of their learning experience. From crafting the perfect prompt to learning how to properly analyze and validate outputs, these skills provide a springboard for students to adopt AI tools critically and effectively.
